The Hanson family came to TX.

What a great weekend. The Hanson family had a service at Grace Community in Flower mound this last Sunday. Since they were in the area we wanted to take advantage of being with them. They had some friends to see on Saturday so we went that afternoon to meet them at the Galleria. There is an American Girl Boutique there and the girls had a blast. After that we went to PF Chang's for dinner. It was Scott's birthday and what a great way to celebrate! Dinner was so good. The food was delicious. The restaurant... loud but the girls just played and played. After dinner we came back to waxahachie for the night.

On the way up to the Galleria Mall.

Lexxi said her tummy was tickly! She was nervous and so so excited to see her friends.

Megan and Makenzi have grown so much. This is in the store.

SUNDAY

This church has always been so very thoughtful! LaDonna Plunk is one of the best people that show that they care. She sends cards every birthday, holiday and anniversary! In service she gave both Karen and I roses. Karen gave me hers before we left because she couldn't take them back to Cali. I put them both together and they look beautiful.
We had called Pastor to let him know that we didn't have a service this weekend and our friends were coming so we wanted to join them for the service and to let him know that we didn't want to intrude. He said come on up and Nick got to speak for the kids church for both services.
After the window in the kids service we rejoined the main service and got to hear Scott preach. It was so good to hear another missionary. One that you know and to see how they present themselves. Scott did a great job and I have never heard so many checks being torn at one time! I hope they were truly blessed this weekend.
We went out to eat at Johnny Carinos and I do not have any pictures for some odd reason of anything that went on. I didn't get to talk to the plunks as much as I would have liked too. Maybe another time. After church we went to the hotel that the Hanson's were staying at. The kids swam, we played games it was good to catch up on furloughs. I think we were all really a little tired. We ended up eating at Macdonald's for the playground! Karen and I had a chai latte for free from Panera, because it was closing time! Then we ended with goodbyes and we shall see them all again in Dar es Salaam soon. It was good to be with African friends.

We ended up at McDonnalds! We look too chipper I think for eating there!

Saying goodbye at Macdonald's.

The kids did not want to go to school this morning. Yesterday wore them out. But I sent them off. They are tired and will go to bed early tonight. :) I love busy weekends. Now... if it could just all be busy we would be back to Africa in no time at all! ;0)
