Color in the hour. We started this a bit late on our trip. This was the last 3 days.
The games we played the whole time we were in the car. the entire 3 weeks:
Cross all your fingers. (took a good while)
What am I? in riddles.
Quiet game.
ABC game with the signs.
Power of suggestion.
I spy.
Pretend with the animals.
Sang lots of songs. (thanks a lot ISMK program!)
Don't open your mouth.
Draw to the music.
Guess what dad is drawing before he finishes.
Color in the hour every hour.
Guess what I am spelling on your back.
Cannot say and and the.
Voice recorded stories with given words.
How observant are you? look and around then close your eyes.
With all the games the trip went by pretty fast. Then there was DS time, movie time and naps. The kids did great though. I was really proud of them being such troopers even though we put thousands of miles on our car!
On our way through Alabama we checked out the planes and the ship. We were cheap that we just looked from afar. Kids liked it anyway so neat for them to see how big they actually are-the planes.
Broke up the trip a little. It was HOT though.
Eating at Cracklebarrel that night. we were really tired of being in the car.
Again the next day... more trees. :) I
lol Krista did great in the back with the kids. She helped a lot.
Lunch the next day... Louisiana.
This was so funny. So Lexxi and Krista go to the restroom and while Krista is washing her hands, Lexxi comes out to wash her hands too. Then Krista said "Lexxi how come you did not flush the toilet?" Lexxi said "It said not to flush on the door." Turns out Lexxi could not read the rest so she decided she was safe as long as she didn't flush! So cute.
lol I love this too. My kids rock. Ok so I put on princess bride for them to watch. During the sword fight where we was talking to his sword about his father, Ethan turns to lexxi and asks if his sword is his father?! Then a little later when Wesley found the man with the 6 fingers Ethan quickly looked down at his hand and counted his fingers... just to make sure he didn't have 6! So precious. When the quick sand part came his head was in his pillow. He is so cute.
