Waxahachie to Amarillo to Abilene.

On our way to West Texas, Saturday. It was flat.
Nick told the kids we were going to the desert... we saw a few cactus but not too much desert like we thought he was talking about.

This was my kinda day. I LOVE THIS LIGHT.

Sunday morning at Church.

What a really sweet family. We had a great Morning visiting with the Houghton family. Please pray for his wife, she is fighting with Cancer and she WILL win! Doing Kemo right now so she is a little weak. Thank you for having us.

Laurie this is your cousin... Met her at church. Also heard some stories about you this Sunday ;)

We thought the wind mills were so cool. I wanted to hear them so I asked Nick to pull over for a while. What a beautiful relaxing sound.

Play time.

Drving to Abilene.

ABILENE, TX.

Isaiah.

Greg and Thai. What a neat couple. They invited us to come to their house and eat. They had made a wonderful Chinese meal and then took us over to visit the Tanzanian Refugees. It was so much fun speaking Swahili and finding out about these people. There are about 60 that live here and will remain here we think. Hopefully the Church in Abilene will find a way to reach into their lives. Greg has done so much already. Who would have thunk it?!! Tanzanians in Texas?! I felt like I was back in Africa, right at home.

They loved having their picture taken.

The one who carries a ton of the responsibility for the whole group.
He knows English.

Later that evening we went to Mc Donald's to debrief kinda. Hopefully we helped with some insight to what is already going on. We are so thankful for hearts like Greg and Thai's that want to reach out and touch people's lives for the Lord.

late night snack. Real healthy huh?!

It was a lot of fun. Gave us a reminder of why we try so hard to go back. Itenneration is so worth it! Thanks you guys for being so friendly and hospitable. And willing to stand out in that heat while mosquitoes bit our legs, the kids play in the dirt, people you hardly know hugging on you and all happening in a foriegn language. Thanks for giving us that opportunity too. We will be praying for you as your ideas are put into action. Keep us informed!
