At the little lake.

Starting the fire.

Off to school...

We lived in a tent for 2 weeks. Went to school from 8 -1 every day. It was SO cold and school was fun with meeting new people and just getting away to learn.

We had a marshmallow night for many nights. Fires every night and watching the stars fall by.

We met the Smiths at kisolanza. This is a wonderful family from South Africa. Living at a camp site allows you to meet the most neatest people. We met them and exchanged numbers just in case they were in dar they could leave their car with someone we knew so they could go to the Island. Good thing we did. We got a call from them while we were in school. They had broken down five miles inside the national park. Chris was pulling the car using the wench from tree to tree to get out of the park... with the bottle of pepper spray just incase a lion jumped out of the trees! Anyway, Nick went and got them. 2 hours there and longer back because he towed them all the way out of the Ruwaha national park down to the river side campsite. I am so glad he did. We got to know them a little. That night they reached the camp Sasha got a call that her dad had died. He was only 5o something. Our hearts felt for them and thier loss. many senerios were thought out but eventually they had decided to carry on with thier trip, because that is what her dad would have wanted. Since all of her siblings are in different parts of the world doing different things, they would wait to have a ceremony later. Her brother had gone to collect the body and her father was creamated. It was very hard and I am glad they were there with us instead of stuck in the ruwaha somewhere. God has a plan for everything that happens, and I believe it was God Ordained that they were there with us. They were able to get their car fixed and got back on the road. We pray for safety as they travel for the five of them, Chris, Sasha, Skyla, Rork, Layla. Hopefully we will get to see them in SA some day!:0)

This little guy was in our tent one night. It was running all over the place and even fell on our bed. We finally caught it and kept it for a little while. I really hate having pets in cages, its not how its suppose to be, so I let it go, and left a block of cheese outside for it the next night. It was a cute dor mouse.

Enjoying the hike to the waterfalls. This is how we spent a few afternoons after school. climbing, finding rocks, digging for fools gold.

This was the day after my birthday.

This is the water we bathed with. pipes lead to the camp from here.

On the way back... Ethan had a bloody nose. He took his shirt off to use it for his nose. He hasnt had too many lately, so it was almost strange.
We met many neat people at this campsite, going to many different places in Tanzania and some in Kenya for ministry. The camp itself could use better management. Someone who really enjoys people and has time to pay attention to detail. Also during the cold months like what we were there for you need a place to excape the cold. Everything is in a banda, the common room, the cafeteria, the lessons. Its cold and windy and you cant find a place to get warm. Lexxi really got a long well with Katlynn and Saidee Grewen. Here are pictures of the kids and their new friends. They were like little village kids, making due with nature. They made club houses, their own decoations with flowers and bamboo, making dolls out of huge sossage tree sossages. It was so nice for them to get to use thier imagination and enjoy themselves in a natural setting.

Leaving...

On the way home the Elephants were crossing the road. We were so happy to get home! We went straight to a book store to hang out for an hour, bought food and went to eat while we were still in town. Home and we slept like babies.

Watching a movie... they did really well in the car. And Ethan now has a shaved head! And our swahili has never been worse! I think we are just too afraid to mess up we dont want to speak. lol Hopefully it will come the more we use it. We got a really great swahili excercise book out of it!
