Kenya.

The kids and I took the bus to Nairobi. We were greeted by mom, Miriam, Micah and my sister Krista. Krista and mom had just arrived too. Mom from Mombasa and Krista from Mozambique. We went to RVA to see Katie and Kaleb. Stayed for dinner then went to Malewa. Kevin and Miriam have a beautiful cottage out there. It was a relaxing time and the kids just played. Saturday we went to RVA for alumni weekend, food was good and it was good to see some old faces. But weird too. Being there again feels like you never left! Dad showed up on Saturday too. Monday we left Nairobi at like 4 and got home to Mombasa at 10.

Saturday Alumni weekend.

Sarah Rondeux and I. What a beautiful lady!!

It was so good to see my grandparents who are out here for a few weeks. We hung out in Mombasa and Kevin and Meem came with family on Friday and Nick came on Saturday. We did all our dentist visits and doctor appointments. After a week on meds my back was starting to feel better. I was put on a skeletal muscle antibiotic. And a sleeping pill for night. it was great. :) Nick had 3 cavities to have fixed and I had to replace an old filling. We see Mombasa as the healing place. We seem to get all things fixed there, it doesn't hurt that mom knows everyone either! Krista had to leave one night but her flight was canceled so she got to stay an extra day. I wont see her for a while but it was good to have this time with her. It was a good time getting to see them, being able to go to the movies, eating out and enjoying the beach. It will be a while before we get that again now that we leave near the mountains. :)
Nick and my brother Kevin helped my grandpa, Dr. Guynes with a prayer initiative conference in Mombasa. Praying for other countries and people groups in the horn of Africa. We left the day after back to Arusha. The road was bad coming across from Voi on the Kenya side. As soon as we were in Tanzania it was smooth sailing. Nice to be home but there is a lot of work to do to make this house a home.

While I was in Mombasa Nick was busy meeting the president of Tanzania, President Kikwete! :) What a great experience. Not to mention how great it was for Nick to have had some time with Pastor Rick Dubose. Thanks Pastor Rick for encouraging Nick the way you did. He was so thankful for all your advice. You are the right man in the right place!! Bless you.
