Lexxi's 10th party, 2 months after her Birthday.

We invited 3 of her friends for a sleep over. Wednesday I made the cakes and Thursday night put the icing on. The only night i was to stay up and work in the kitchen the electricity went off. So we made all the icing colors in the dark. Some of it was melting from the heat of the candles.

Its bright with the flash but I was trying to go for little balloons lol. There was no theme really this year.

I picked the girls up from school and they all went on the slip n slide. They had a lot of fun. Layla, Megan, Fama and Lexxi.

Tea time. They had cake and prezzies and snacks.

Nick made pizza for us all and then the girls played a game we learnt in our small group... its like sharades but not... they named it Randoms. They then started their movie, and headed to bed at 10:30. Ethan and Nick watched star wars.

The next day the girls all decorated a shirt with stuff I bought off a friend in Dar. They thought that was fun. Taking them back to school in the afternoon for fun day at braeburn they were saying that this was the best part ever! I have noticed though that people in Arusha are kinda light years away from Dar in how community can come together to do things. It is just has a different vibe.

Lexxi was part of a team triathlon. She was the swimmer, then Tanya the runner and Megan the biker. They won. :) Their prize... A jump rope. They were a little dissapointed. lol

Fun day was... fun. The kids liked it a lot. Ethan is still struggling to want to be there but Lexxi has her friends. She has always been good at fitting in with people, adapting where-ever she is. Ethan.... ya not so much. :(
I was very glad to have the party over, it was not hard, they were easy just can tick it off and feel good about it. I just cannot believe my little girl is Ten!
That afternoon when we got home the kids were running around, lexxi's head hit Ethan's nose and they both were screaming. Ethan fractured his nose it was bleeding profusely. We had ice on it and I think that helped the swelling. But it was still swollen, sore even 2 weeks after. :(

At least its not crooked! He was trying to smile.
