Mid term break.

Nick left Monday for his trip out to the Manyara/Arusha district for two weeks. This week was the kids mid term so we tried to have a little fun and do some outings even without a car! Monday and Tuesday we were home.
Wednesday we took the taxi to the bus, bussed to Moshi. Its a little over an hour drive. Taxied to the shop (that I had business with) then on to the home of our team mates the Ness'es. We ate lunch with them, swam in the pool and had a good afternoon. Another team member Melodie J. just got her new STL car and its just like ours so I was showing her a few things that are different about it. She has never owned a stick shift before, but she is getting the hang of it. Mike was really good with the kids and took them for icecream then Thursday hooked them up with some movies while we had a ladies bible study. We left that afternoon after lunch but the trip home was not as pleasant. It was hot and stinky and long. :( Moshi is a lot lower in altitude than Arusha, much warmer so it was really nice to get back to our dark cold cave of a house. :) That evening I took the kids out for Ethi. They were sooo happy and said many times, Thank you mom, your the best mom in the whole world! lol. Easy to please, what can I say.

The bus ride to Moshi.

The Ness'es swimming pool.

Kids watching movies and playing with their dog Georgia.

Waiting over an hour for the bus.
Friday we hung around home until 2 then headed to the Impala for the kids to swim... we met some friends there and did not come home until 6.

Saturday the kids rode their bikes to the club while I walked. They have their tennis lesson there every Saturday. They are really good at it already! Its a genetic thing, from both sides. :) They were so tired after the ride back home. (and they slept good because of it!) David and Drea came over and picked us up, they took us to their house to get a car they were going to lend us. Its such a neat little car. Generous is a great word to describe them. We watched a movie that afternoon and just chilled.
Today, Sunday we stayed home and had church here. They love this and wish we did it more often. After church they got on the slip n slide. Ethan hit his nose AGAIN on Lexxi's head and it is now really swollen. :( Poor kid. He said it hurt more this time than the last.
The power was off all day today.
We miss Nick tons and are counting down the days until he returns. :) Tomorrow it will be 8, if the schedule stays as it is. This last week was not so bad, because the kids were out of shcool and we got to do much together...but I am kinda dreading this next week being all by myself. :(
Pray for Nick, I will post pics of his trip when he returns. He is really tired and only half way through but he is loving the experience. I never want him to be gone this long again.
