WWK

I left Tuesday morning after we dropped the kids off at the bus stop. Nick and I waited for my bus headed to Moshi. Its just one of those things that you just wait and take what comes. When I got on the bus it was already almost full. I took a seat in the back. After a few stops we were packed. People were standing in the isles and we were waiting for more at a stop. I was starting to get frustrated that was until I saw some things that made my heart joyful. Life is not the easiest for Tanzanians, but even strangers take care of strangers. A young lady and her 4 yr old son were standing in the isle right next to me and an old grandmother was making her way through the crowded Isle when a young man got up and let her sit down. When I looked back at the boy he was on a mans lap, no connection, no talking, its just what they do, they take care of one another. Later I told the conductor where I needed to stop and I was afraid he really didnt care but another man had heard what I had said and when he saw it coming up he tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was getting off at the highway suppermarket, to come on. I loved how I was reminded of the kindness in the little everyday life here in Tanzania. It made that bus ride so worth it!
When I got to Moshi I took a taxi to WWK, It was really far out of Moshi. Mtokambali spoke and we were there until lunch and then headed out to the guesti we were staying at. That afternoon I just took a nap and relaxed which I felt I have not been able to do for a while. That night I had dinner with Mel, Tiff and Michael. I thought I had lost my wallet which was a disaster but Tiff and I said a little prayer in the midst of my panic and it was found, in my room! The next day we were there early and met the guest speakers from Scotland. Tiff and I left before lunch and met Nick (who drove from Arusha to pick me) and Michael for lunch. We said our goodbyes and Nick and I made in home in time to pick up the kids from the bus stop.
It was really good to be with women who love our God. Woship is always so beautiful WITHOUT the sound systems! : )

The t shirt color this year was blue. I was late and I got an extra large. i wore it for a little while but it was as long as a dress on me! I gave it to a cook when I was done wearing it for a day. She was SO happy. : )
