Emergency Room at Selian.

Ethan was complaining of pain in his lower abdomen on a Wednesday night. I checked to see if it was his appendix and I decided he was fine. Thursday after school he was complaining of extreme pain in his testicle. Nick said that it was swollen and red. We didnt know what to do.... We have never needed anyone in Arusha to go too and now that it was an emergency we were just not sure who to trust. A friend of mine gave me a number of a Dave Mathews. An American dr. I called him and he said you dont want to risk it take him to the ER at Selian.
Nick took Ethan with the car just to see what needed to happen. I thought we might have to travel on to nbo. Nick told me that they were going to prep him for surgery. Lexxi and I took a taxi to the hospital... we talked a surgeon from Tanzania. He had a look at Ethan and said that he would have to do some exploritory surgery to see what was wrong really. And if it was something he could fix he would do that but that if the testicle was dead he would have to remove it. I wa sooo worried. We took Ethan up to surgery and said bye to him as he walked into the theatre all on his own!! That was the hardest thing not even being there when he went under! They then showed us to the room and about and hour later Ethan joined us.

Ethan with bear.. lexxi brought it for him. : )

In the ER.

The room. It was late when Ethan came back in... around 11. He was snoring. Nick took Lexxi home so that she could go to school the next day. When everyone was gone Ethan woke up slowly grunting and waving his arms around so much that his IV came out. Blood was all over the place. I called the nurse and she so slowly helped us. Customer service is unknown in this country. Anyway E had tears falling out of his eyes and his throat was soo dry and sore. He also had a bloody nose while he was under. Poor guy was in sooo much pain. They gave him some panadol and left us to sleep. He woke up several times in the night. The next morning Nick came in with coffee and helped us get Ethan discharged. We were so thankful Ethan was ok and that it was all taken care of. So blessed by all those praying for him and that the Lord protected him from any harm.

We love this boy!! Thank you Jesus!
