Lexxi's NGO Presentation...

For school Lexxi had to research an NGO in the Arusha area, schedule an appointment. She then had to visit and learn about it then prepare a presentation. She did it on her own and did it so well! If you would like to see it click here. I do appreciate the school educating our kids on all the great things can happen out of being enviromentaly friendly!! Lexxi's NGO is called Food, water shelter.

They house people who need a home and have a kitchen for them to cook in.

The have classrooms for their children.

A back up generator, solor panels, Lots of water tanks to store water in even from the rain gutters and a windmill.

The toilets... These buckets of saw dust are under the toilets. They do not use water. the liquid drains through and the buckets evenually are added to the garden at fertilizer.

They grown lots of fruits and vegetables. They have a lake with fish and they even sell some of their produce at markets in the city.

They grow pigs, goats and chickens.

Lexxi had a great time learning about another NGO and how they are established to help people. Thinking evniromentaly friendly is not easy and can be expensive but in the long run its the best for the earth and the people.
