2nd weekend in January.

FRIDAY.
Ethan got a haircut... finally. He was starting to look really pretty so we knew it was time to chop it all off...

As soon as he showered he wanted the spidy costume. (It is so funny how he likes it so much) I wanted to treat the kids to a movie so I rented from the library in town the movie, sugar creek gang. While they were watching it I went in to see how it was going. They were so excited. "We love this movie... it is so fun" So I thought that was great. both interested in it. Well... I was waiting for them to be finished with their movie so we could have some choc chip cookies and some milk. But I wanted them to finish before they had it, and then would go to bed. So I came in and sat on the couch and turned on LOST. Waiting for them to finish... about another 45 mins later I decided to check on them. WELL.... they were at the same place I had left them at. They had watched the movie AGAIN without telling me!!!! It was almost 10 and my kids usually go to bed at 7. (Sneaky Sneaky) I wouldn't mind so much if they would just sleep in the next morning, sometimes! But nooooo Saturday came bright and very very early.

SATURDAY.

It started with such a beautiful day. We all needed to get the leaves put up. This machine was much appreciated! The leaf blower. I love doing this, being outside and it being cold and working all together and the smell... But not all of us like it as much, Nick got the sneezes :(

Little helpers.

The back yard only.

The little snake we found.

It was so little.

We got to hang out with some good missy friends of ours, the Smiths. It was his birthday. The Watson's were there and a few others that were friends of the Smiths. Good desert and talks.

SUNDAY.

Lifegate Church in Burleson is a church plant and is growing strongly. I was impressed with how much research the Sunday school teacher had done about Tanzania. She made Ugali, Knew a list of words in Swahili and even bought material to symbolize the kitange's that the ladies of Africa wear. She was great. Nick got to speak for a few mins in the main service and then for the children. We even got to HEAR a sermon. That is rare for many missionaries but really enjoyed by me. After Church we went out to eat and that is where you really get to know the family. I was impressed with this couple. It is hard getting to know people the way we do. Sometimes you meet people and are thankful you live so far away. (that doesn't happen often) and then there are those that you wish you didn't have to leave. Where you could see yourself fitting in and finding a ministry to be apart of. This is one of those places I would love to join. There is a wonderful presence with people who are trying to make a difference in this world and really reaching out. It isn't easy but very admirable if you can do it and conquer. I am thankful that I have friends all over this world that I can pray for and lift up. It does make me sad that I can't just have them all in one place. Anyway, we have made some new friends! It was fun getting to know you guys. Thanks so much for letting us come and visit you.
