All for me?!!

After church I wanted to change for the car ride that was ahead of us. Nick kept saying 'no lets just go' Well being the inquisitive person that I am was like 'what for?' I don't want to wear my high heals for 4 hours.' He said he didn't want to tell me why but that it was a surprise so I needed to just stay dressy. Those that know me know that I don't like surprises. I like to know and be in on it. To be prepared. But this was worth it and he knew that I would love it. Anyway... His parents met us in Des Moines and took the kids. I thought it was just for dinner. I had nothing ready for them?! So he takes me to this awesome restaurant... 801 chop house in Des Moines. SO yummy. I did feel a little out of my league when I saw the type of people who ate there and a little guilty spending the money but once in a lifetime, I can live with that. It was great. I was ready to go home but then he stopped at the embassy suites and the view from our room was wonderful. I was so surprised. That next morning we left at like 10. I got to sleep in!! I spent a few minutes in a good will store before we drove back to Osceola. (I LOVE thrifty stores like that) The whole surprise made me feel so special and calm, rested and it just toped off a great Christmas! He made my year, he always does.
