3 week trip. First stop Oaklahoma

We just got back from the longest trip ever! lol It was actually a wonderful highlight of our summer. We headed to MO for candidate orientation and we stopped along the way to visit my old roomy from college. Michal and her husband Stephen live in Catoosa OK. It was so good to see her after so many years. The kids loved being there on the farm and they really enjoyed Stephen and Michal.

It was like going on safari... except on a farm. :)

Feeding the cows.

Enjoying the outside... kids were chasing fireflies.

digging for worms.

I almost believed them!

Ethan has a history of eating worms... thank goodness he is getting older and see just how grosse that is!

Lexxi and the horses. She loves them! Stephen helped her on it.

Sunday Church... Carbondale Assembly.

The kids rode with Stephen and Michal.

Michal loving on my kiddos. They thought she rocked!

They had a very cozy home.

Who's that farm-girl with the camera? :)

Nick trying to help out some.

Half naked. hmm farm culture isn't so far off of African culture. the kids can adapt to this. :)

Stephen and Michal GAVE us their Wii!!! I couldn't believe it. The kids were excited too. :)
I was overwhelmed with their generosity. Thank you both so much! The kids will never forget this and neither will I.

Here they are the night before we left, packing it all up.

Casual and I.

What a beautiful dog. And so obedient.
Stephen and Michal will make great parents one day.

I am so glad she found such a great match.

I got to shoot her gun. I have never shot one before. One night after the kids went to bed we went out. So she shows me how to shoot it but I was not expecting it to be so LOUD. It scared me. So when it came to be my turn she held my ears. lol I know I am a wimp. Just didn't think it would be that loud. (Oh ya and I was in shorts. I got chigger bites alllllll over the back of my legs. They bothered me for 2 weeks!!! Thanks for the warning. ;)

Saying goodbye. The sky was crying even! I love my friend. I love that she is doing well and has a wonderful life in the spot God has put her. Michal I will miss you so much but I am so thankful that I got to see you and as time goes by there will be many more opportunities. You are missed.
