Our house.

We have been working hard to make this house feel like home. We are learning our town and liking the people around us a lot. Nick and I spent the morning in the village market walking from vendor to vendor. For a while I sat with some mamas just talking about general things. Every Friday is a good opportunity to just get acquainted with our community. The Lord is really laying some things on my heart of how to reach out to those around me. Please pray for confidence that I will be bold to put actions to what I am feeling.
Getting to the pictures... Here is our living room.

The Dining room... the pillows are made in zanzibar but the dishes were bought from Target, made in Tahiland. matches pretty well. got lucky.

The kitchen... and Nick made that ceiling light.

The office still has work to do on it... the grandiose shelf is coming tomorrow. The piano room off the living room. Then then lexxis room and the stairs up to our room and the guest room. I didnt pic Ethans room.

Here is our room and the guest room... we are sleeping on the floor for now and these are the soon to be made pillows. just material for now... I will show the finished thing later. We made those shades from mats you buy here. it cost me $5. Nothing fancy about the guest room... But there is one if anyone wants to stop by! We have enough room for 12 people to sleep in airconditioned rooms comfortably. So karibuni friends!

Our pourches and our dogs. Our dogs ate our furniture so we had it recovered. The man came to our house to do it. We have 5 barazas. 3 down and 2 up. The up are not pictured... still need work.

So thats our house. It is feeling like home more everday. :) Even more so the more company we have! So come on over.
