Since then..

I found a trianchula in the laundry. As I was folding a kikoy after hanging on the rack this jumped out. The kids and the neighbors kids, which are really great by the way, took it and have it as a pet! lexxi got bit by one of their snakes... but it didnt hurt too bad, accourding to Lexxi is was AWESOME! but she had bite marks.
We were just in Mombasa Kenya again for a week and a half. We had mission meeting at a hotel over Easter. The services were really good, the work part, not so fun. Nick lead worship, and Kevin+Meem, Brent+Rosemary, Chris+Brandy, and Charles took care of all the services. They did a great job. Lexxi chipped a grown up tooth... It looks terrible. I will have to take her to the dentist soon to have them file it down and see what we can do about it one day. After the week with our mission we stayed with mom for a few days to do some shopping. dar is really expensive and Kenya has a nakumatt. It is the Walmart of Africa... just not as good as it. It was good to be home with my mom after so much going on. It will be a while before we get to see them again.
We are working on our house... trying to get it steady so when Nick leaves I can maintain it!! Some days we have had no electricity, or no water or both at the same time. Just learning the electrical system and the water routine... trucks have to bring us water. Right now we have people in and out working on everything! yesterday the fundi for the electricity was here till 8pm the internet people came yest afternoon, there are 5 fundis working on building a storage/gaurd house in our yard. Today the people to fix some of our dog eaten chewed furniture came to work at our house. We are making friends all over the place! We start language school next week, refresher course and then next level. We will be fluent soon. Nick is preaching in Swahili this week...
Thank you for all your prayers, living here is a challenge and an adventure too. Sometimes Africa wins and you just break down in tears... "Why am I here Lord?!" We know that God is in control and he is continueing to remind us of His love for His people, please cover us in prayer as the next few weeks are the beginning of why we are here. Pray for the kids, that they like school and make good friends. Thanks. K
