February
We went to Zanzibar for one night. Nick was gone for the week of the 16th so the weekend before that he took us to Zanzibar because he had a meeting he had to be at so that first day we took the kids snorkeling. They love it. When they get excited they try to talk through thier snorkle really loud but it is all muffled. :) We had lunch on prisoner Island. Nick had meetings that night at the church so I was with the kids for dinner, he got back at 10. There was no electricity on the Island, there has not been any for 3 months so it was really really hot. A generator ran the fans at night but it was steamy. The next day we strolled around for a little. We got on a connection ferry. It was coming from the Island of Pemba. No air con in that either. We were sweating. By the time we got back to the main land we were exhausted and felt so dirty! Grabed a quick bite and took a taxi home. And so Nick went to mwanza. I have had lots of company in Feb. Have had so many people for dinner and games. It was so nice to be with different groups of people. On the 25th we headed to Moshi to check on our STL car, which is still not ready!! Then headed to Arusha to look at the school the kids will be attending. Braeburn Academy. Its far out... of town. We stayed with the Bonjiournos. Was a short weekend.

The ferry ride over was really nice. we woke up at 5ish and took a taxi to town to catch the ferry at 715. Got to Zanzibar at 10ish or later. It was slower than normal.

First things first. Ethans shoe broke before we got off the ferry so he walked bare foot all morning till we could find him some shoes!

Going in the boat to the island where we would snorkle.

Lexxi was feeding the crows, something we would never do anywhere but there. They are so smart even though they are annoying birds.

Prisoner Island and our lunch. Pineapple, mangoes and samosas.

After dinner at the sea front. Watching the local kids take turns jumping off the side.

Some keepsakes.

The shop that did our Henna. The lady is Deaf and dumb. She was sweet though and really good at doing Henna. Her antiques were too expensive so I just took a picture instead :)

Lexxi and I's hand.

Walking the streets of Zanzibar. The doors are beautiful. We saw some birds for sale. An african grey they wanted 400$ for it and little finches. Pretty birds.

Breakfast at the Tembo. Kids played on the beach.

On the ferry back from Zanzibar. A little boy kept playing with Lexxi's hair. See Ethans anchor on his arm... it was done in Henna but is now a permanent scar because he had an reaction to the piko. Its a white scar now. We accidentally branded our son!!! Atleast its a cool scar. :)
MWANZA

RANDOMS OF THE KIDS

Going home from church one Sunday.

The kids playing outside with the turtles.

Crazy dress day, crazy hair day!!

A puppy we parented for 3 days! Could not do it. It had ring worm and the dogs didnt like him. SO we gave it to our gaurd. The kids liked him but just couldnt do it. I dont want any more mutts or small dogs. I want the big ones. Ridgeback great dane doverman dolmation. that would be the perfect mix.

My dryer is broken, and so we hang our clothes out and have to iron all of them after just incase there are any bugs.... they die. Flora Ironed this in a towel. She killed it with the Iron. I am SO glad we iron. Just wish my dryer worked. :( motor is trying to be bought.
