I had to check lost and found. Over the last 2 weeks Ethan has lost a kikoy towel, 3 bottles (we found one), a tie, his folder pack and pencil case. I have been trying everything to help him remember even writing on his arm with permanent marker. anyway so I went and checked. Nothing, but the bus driver did have his tie! :) that made me happy. We went around lunch time and got to eat with them. It was good to see them in their environment and to meet their friends. Reminded me so much of my childhood experience back in Mombasa. Strange yet familiar. :)

Lexxi's Assembly is a lot smaller than the one in Dar but still cute. They are studying about India so they had to dress in something a little Indian. The girls made up a cute Indian dance.
THE HIKE.

Driving to the hill we were going to climb. Our view of Meru from the top and the inside of the crater from the top of the hill.

Nick and the kids wanted to go into the crater and they would all need to slide down. The rocks are Pumis lava stones. Here is Lexxi on top.

There they go walking around the rim to find the best way down. While they were down there I was joined by 3 Masai men. I was a little frightened as one had a pole, the other a machete and the other that came a little later was running toward me. I am just sooo thankful I knew Swahili and a little Kimasai. I shared some cookies with them and talked to them about our TAG church in the area. While all this was going on I saw a puff of dirt rolling down the hill. It was Ethan... face first. :( poor kid. They made it back up to me and he was sooo dirty and bloody. Scars are what you would consider beauty marks, for boys. His story is that he wrestled with a crater and the crater won!

Aww. He has a hole in his head!

Here is his precious face all mucked up. :( It was sooo windy and dry up there. kids had dust in every crevis of their heads. They had fun even though it hurt. I drew Ethan a bath and gave him some toys to try and get those wounds clean without rubbing them. It worked and he is on the way to recovery!
