While we were away our guests that were staying in our guest house accidentally hit one of our dogs. They took her to the vet. When we got back home from our trip I went over to see her. The vet had decided that since I didn't want to take her all the way to Nairobi to pin her leg that I should put her down. The x-rays showed that the hit hurt more than her leg, that it damaged her hip as well. :( So I said goodbye and put they put her down right there. Even though she wasn't our brightest dog she was a good dog and a new one is going to cost.

We already have been out to a farm that raises and sells ridgebacks. We put our order in for a male puppy that will be ready in 6 weeks. So for now, Kava is getting a lot of attention because we feel so sad for her. Hopefully soon she will have a playmate again.
