Ethan chewed his old toothbrush so bad, that half the bristles fell out. So I got him a new one. I found it wrapped in the drawer so we probably got it from the dentist some time ago. Anyway... While I was with Lexxi, (letting her read to me) I could hear Ethan in the bathroom singing... twinkle twinkle little star. After he finished he came to me and said (infront of Lexxi) "Thank you mom... I have never had a singing toothbrush before!" Lexxi was so upset that she didn't have one. I just said he is kidding and told Ethan to stop imagining things. THEN when I was putting him to bed I was laying with him and talking to him and he said it again. "I love my new toothbrush... can I sing and brush my teeth with it in the morning?" I said sure but it doesn't sing!!!
So on my way back to the living room I passed by the bathroom. It was a mess, towels everywhere and water all over the counter and that little toothbrush needing to be put back. So I picked everything up and put the t brush back in the holder and went out of the room. Yes yes... I just had to check to see if he was actually telling the truth!! Soooo I picked it up and pushed the little button on it and nothing happened. OF COURSE NOTHING HAPPENED!! IT ISN'T A SINGING TOOTHBRUSH. I felt so dumb for even trying it. I took it back to his room and sternly said "Ethan this toothbrush is NOT a singing toothbrush." He looks at me and smiles. "I know that." with a duh mom look on his face!! HAVE I BEEN HAD BY A FIVE YEAR OLD??!! I really did not think I was that naive. Maybe He was just THAT convincing!!!! :)
