Whats happend in Dar.

So then week 5... One of the worst weeks since I have been here. I had an accident. It was dumb and thankfully no BODY was hurt. I was in traffic and my breaks really were not the best... I hit a little car. I was shaking not knowing what to do. Laurie Was with me and the two ladies I was taking to my new house that we had found to have them start cleaning. Well we never made it there that day. The police came, wrote a report and I had to leave my car there at the station. My bull bar was not even scratched but that other car... I felt so bad. The next 4 days was taking care of all the paper work and I had to go to court. They made me wait for 6 hours until I could see a judge and would not let me leave the room! Nick was so supportive through it all. The jail looked terrible and the police at the court kept trying to tell Nick to pay a little you know... and it will go faster. We wouldn't so we ended up waiting 6 hours! After I saw the judge all the tension and uncertainty of everything I just started crying. People have gone to foreign prison for much less! I had to pay a fine of 10,000 shillings... $10. The insurance covered the rest. The only good thing about the whole accident was that we made friends at the police station... we went by a few days later and gave them some snicker bars. They were really kind to us and even offered me a job to help file! lol

Zanzibar...
Laurie and I took Cindy to Zanzibar. Cindy has been working here as an intern for a few weeks. So she needed a goodbye get away to see other parts of tz. We were tourist for 2 days. We took the ferry which took 2 hours. really nice. We toured a little on our own since I had been there before. And then used a guide for the rest including the spice tour. Daniel was awesome guide, he is from one of our churches there.

We had Henna painted on our ankles. Did the spice tour, house of wonders, David Livingstons house, dhow beach, the church, saw one of the chambers where they kept the slaves when they used to trade them and the palace ruins of one of he old sultans (where he kept his Herem and all the baths they used to have).

These ones are some of my favorite pictures of the tour. It has its own culture, Swahili-Arab. It is a town where you feel safe walking the streets from vendor to vendor at night. The people here are so lost and it was hard for me to be a tourist in the place where I feel the Lord is calling us.
