The past few days....

Nick's sister Beka got married August 22nd and she so sweetly sent us the dvd of her wedding. We wished we could have been there in person. :( So the kids watched it. "Its cool aunt Beka can be on tv mom!" says Ethan. lol We love you Beka! Glad your happy.

INTERNATIONAL DAY!

Lexxi goes to school with people from 37 different nations. International day at school is when we celebrate the different ones. We make our national food and everyone goes around and tastes them all. Our fav was the Lebanese booth and the Ethiopian booth!!They also have some cultural entertainment. After the day lexxi brought Emma home. Her BFF! so cute. She spent the night and in the morning the room looked like a college dorm room. It was a mess!! They did great picking it up and Ethan got to sleep in their room that night because they had the air on. They love playing dress up.

The kids were so busy outside one day... I called for them and they brought me what they were working on. They made an i pod, and i phone, a flip phone and a normal phone. We have the basic phones anyone can have but I do realize they go to school with many rich kids who have these things already. Atleast for now my kids are content just playing with wood!

Medivel times feast.

Lexxi had assembly and they had a skit where they all dressed up in the attire of that era. The castles were on display and we had to bring food for them to feast on just like in that day. She did a good job and loved entertaining us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN!!

Steven Kurt is the pastor of the OCEAN church here in Dar. He is a GREAT pastor! Our missionary family had a party for him at a Mexican restaurant one of our friends opened up. We got him 30 of everything. Carrots, water bottles, 30 1$ scratch phone cards, toilet paper, matches, candles.... Survivor kit for Tanzania. The guys played bache ball and we all had cake. Later that night Nick and Steve and Paul went to Join another missionary guy at a stadium where one of our churches were holding a youth meeting of 15,000 people. 2000 of those gave their lives to Christ. Nick said it was amazing. he got home really late... 1:30. Then at 3:00 the power went off till 7:00. Ethan was in our bed because he gets no breeze in his. All this to say it was a long long night.

Tanzania Mainland Club Championships 2009.

This past Saturday was the gala. All the kids did such a great job. We are a new club with few kids but hopefully will get better. Lexxi did such a great job. She won two medals. One for Second place in Backstroke and another for thrid place in free style! She did so well with such a great spirit. I was proud of her. Ethan did not swim this one... he is too young. The kids left with Nick around 11 and I stayed for the other kids on the team. I left around 4. It was a long hot hot humid day. Hot season is coming!! :(

Lexxi swam the first heat, meet of the day.

Her on the winning blocks and her little medal. So cute!!
