It was a quick trip. We took the kids out of school for Thursday and Friday. We drove Thursday and got there to Mombasa at lunch time. We got to spend some time with my parents, Kevin, grandma and grandpa Guynes. Grandma is not doing so well. She has lost a lot of weight. She has not been eating very well. Grandpa helps her with so many things. It was important to get to see her though and let her know we love her. I think they are aiming to head back to states end of April. She loves Nick and likes to talk to him. She has always enjoyed watching the kids playing too.
Nick did a lot of running around in town to find the right bricks, blanket and cement for the kiln. since the coast is the only place all the glass factories get their materials because of the port. My dad was a gem helping him! Thank you dad. Mom squeezed all our delicious meals in, like she always does when we come home. :)
The kids and I got to go enjoy the club pool for a few hours. I didn't take any pictures really so I posted all I had... We were shopping without Nick and so often I wish he was there to help me make decisions, and because he is not I take pictures to show him! lol SO the kids are posing with the fridge and a chain. its random but thats all I got. :) We drove back on Sunday. Short but we got a lot done. Nick built the kiln already and we have been heating it today. Hopefully we will have our first bead soon. :0) I have such a great fundi of a husband.
